What day is it? - Building Blocks Tuesday

May was my month in the We Bee Canadian bee and I asked for some of the alternate blocks for the Ashley's Star quilt.  I got my first set in the mail on Tuesday from Nita!

Nita's blocks that she sent me!

One would think that it would have made me think, "Oh today is Tuesday, I should get a post up!", but no, my mind was thinking it was Monday.  Darn those tricky holidays!

As you can see, Nita's blocks have helped fill in some of the gaps I have.  I'm looking for a few more from my beemates, and I estimate I will still need to make about six of these blocks to finish up the quilt.  Not too shabby!

starting to come together!

That's going to be one big quilt!

Alas, other than putting these blocks up on the design wall, I have not spent more than 3 minutes in my studio in weeks.  Just too busy doing other things!

I'm still looking for guest hosts for Building Blocks Tuesday!  If you are interested in guest hosting Building Blocks Tuesday for one of the following weeks, please comment below.  It's easy!  You just write a post with some blocks that you have made and I will send you some code to add to the bottom of your post for the linky.  You do NOT have to have your own linky account!  Then just publish your post on your reserved Tuesday!  The linky will stay open all summer, so there is a good chance you will get some increased traffic for both posters and linkers.  Who's in?

Jen at Faith and Fabric has agreed to host a week and Celine at EspritPatch has also offered to fill in for a few weeks once the schedule starts filling up and gaps are more apparent.  So, if there is a particular week you would like to host, get your name in now!

What blocks have you been working on this week?  I would love to see.  Link up your fabulous blocks.  You put a lot of hard work into them - show them off!  This free linky will stay open until the first Monday of next month, but I will repost it every Tuesday until a new month starts.

  2. I remember making the other blocks for our bee last year -- I'd be happy to make you an alternate block or 2 if you want to pop me your address and the directions. I also haven't been in my sewing room much longer than a few minutes recently and am ready to knock out some bee blocks and small projects this month.

I had to shut off comments for a long time because I was just getting spammed. I'm going to try moderation for a while and see if that helps. Please leave me a comment.
